Are new policies needed?I will lead by example. Ensure that there is training with the employees and we are in compliance with all current sexual harassment policies. I will have an open door policy with anyone wishing to discuss uncomfortable behavior.Do you believe same-sex couples should be able to marry? I will stay up to date on current cyber security concerns and methods to keep the record data safe and secure.Are there additional measures the county should take to allow for fair and equal access to voting for all residents?I will look into ways to reduce wait time at the polling places and early voting sites. I will educate voters on early voting, vote by mail, grace period voting etc. Examine current practices for purging voters off the voter registration list.What are your thoughts on consolidating the county clerk's and recorder's offices? How would this benefit/hurt the county?I believe that consolidating offices is not always cost effective and most often can lead to less customer service. I would have to do a cost/benefit analysis to see if this would benefit or hurt the county.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?To always be bi-partisan with the policies and procedures in conducting the duties of county clerk. That the office is always held in the highest esteem of integrity, high ethical standards, and trustworthiness. Election integrity is critical to our democracy, and I will always protect everyone's right to vote.
