Holcomb directs flags lowered after Texas church shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gov. Eric Holcomb has directed flags to be flown at half-staff across Indiana to honor the victims of the Texas church shooting.
Holcomb issued the order Monday, which lasts until sunset Thursday.
Twenty-six were killed and 20 others wounded when a gunman opened fire at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, during Sunday services.
Law enforcement officials say the gunman was 26-year-old Devin Kelley, who died later from what's believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Holcomb's directive comes after President Donald Trump issued a similar order across the U.S.
The Republican governor called the mass shooting "senseless and horrific."
