District 15 will host program for parents on teen suicide

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 is offering a free parent education night on understanding the signs of suicide in teenagers. It'll be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Walter R. Sundling Junior High School theater. The topic is intended for parents of students in seventh and eighth grades. Those in attendance will hear from District 15 Social Work Coordinator Paul Budin and representatives from area mental health agencies. Spanish translation will be available. The school is at 1100 N Smith St. in Palatine.
