Illinois Central Elite-ICE wins 10U AAU National Championship

The Illinois Central Elite-ICE team recently won the 10U AAU National Championships DII in Clarksville, Tennessee, with a record of 7-0. Most of the team's games were played on the campus of Austin Peay University.

Illinois Central Elite-ICE qualified for the championship by winning first place with a 4-0 record in the Central (Illinois) District Qualifier on April 8-9 at Walker Athletics in Lisle.

In June, the team started to prepare for the national championship by competing and winning the following tournaments:

• FTG Father's Day Shootout at Libertyville Sports Complex, with a 3-0 record.

• Summer Slam Invitational at Fenwick High School, with a 3-0 record.

• Jr. Hoops Elite National Tournament, with a 4-0 record.

In 10U AAU National Championship DII tournament play, the Illinois Central Elite-ICE team won the following matches:

• 49-38 against K.A.O.S 2025 from Indiana;

• 71-30 against NY Guachos-Echavarria from New York;

• 49-28 against the Louisiana Jaguars;

• 48-28 against the D.C. Warriors from Washington, D.C.;

• 58-30 against the Ball Hard Elite from Louisiana;

• 40-30 against Showtime Hoops from North Carolina;

• 44-35 rematch against the Louisiana Jaguars.

The team is coached by Brian Davis, Todd Wolf and Octavius Parker.
