District 73 superintendent to discuss referendum Thursday

Hawthorn District 73 Superintendent Nick Brown will host a "Superintendent's Coffee - Why the Educational Facilities Master Plan is needed" from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at Vernon Hills village hall, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills.

The chat will include a short facilities presentation followed by a question/answer session.

On April 4, voters in District 73 will be asked to approve $42 million in school facilities funding to solve all space needs based on projected enrollment growth over the next 10 years while maintaining a 25 to 1 student-teacher ratio at the elementary school level.
