Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 middle school students who want to bring home their district-issued Chromebooks will be able to do so next school year.

Families can pay an optional $15 annual fee to insure the devices, officials said. A $25 deductible for damage to the device, and $50 charge for lost or stolen devices, also will apply.

The school board recently approved the new optional technology fee, which families can pay at registration for the 2017-2018 school year.
