Anti-Semitic graffiti found at Buffalo Grove park

Someone carved anti-Semitic graffiti into a plastic slide at a Buffalo Grove park, and police are investigating.

Buffalo Grove police learned of the vandalism at Rolling Hills Park, 1850 Twin Oaks Blvd., on Monday after being contacted by the media, department spokeswoman Officer Meghan Hansen said.

The graffiti depicted a swastika inside a six-pointed star, often called the Star of David. A photograph of the graffiti was posted to Facebook, too.

After confirming the damage, police called the Buffalo Park District, and a crew removed the symbols from the slide.

Officers searched other parks in town for vandalism and found none, Hansen said.
