Palatine woman accused of pulling fire alarm

A Palatine woman was charged with felony disorderly conduct after she pulled her apartment building's fire alarm when there was no fire just after 9 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Stacy Geng, a 22-year-old who lives in an apartment at 1025 N. Sterling Ave., told the firefighters that she pulled the alarm because she was upset after an argument in her residence, according to police. Cmdr. Craig Lesselyoung said the building was briefly evacuated before firefighters could determine there was no fire.
