District 118 trustee resigns

Veteran Wauconda Unit District 118 school board member Deby Dato has resigned from the panel, officials announced Friday. No reason was given to the media. The remaining board members will appoint someone to serve until the next election in April 2017. Applicants can mail a letter of interest and a resume to President John Armstrong, Board of Education, 555 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL, 60084. An application also can be faxed to (847) 526-1019. The deadline is 4:30 p.m. Jan. 6. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, registered voters and residents of the school district for at least one year.
