Barrington man charged with drug possession in Round Lake Park

A Barrington man faces charges of possessing and delivering marijuana after police found drugs and other paraphernalia in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Round Lake Park, authorities said Wednesday.
Tyler A. Howard, 20, of the 600 block of Haven Drive, was pulled over for speeding about 11:45 p.m. in the area of Hainesville Road and Circle Drive, authorities said. During a search of his 2004 BMW, Round Lake Park police discovered about 275 grams of cannabis in glass jars and plastic bags inside the vehicle, authorities said.
Police also confiscated a digital scale, various drug paraphernalia, and $2,283 in cash, authorities said.
Howard was charged with felony counts of unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, and five misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He appeared in bond court Wednesday and released on a $25,000 recognizance bond.
