2007: Marquette Companies makes initial proposal to city, including condos, shops, restaurants and offices
August 2012: New plan proposed with a Holiday Inn Express and 63 apartments
November 2012: Apartments eliminated from plan
December 2012: City council rejects plan; sends Marquette Companies back to drawing board
April 2013: Plan approved with an unnamed hotel, 524 parking spaces, shops, restaurants and offices
April 2013: City pledges $7.5 million in tax rebates during next 20 years

October 2013: Hotel Indigo announced as anchor
November 2013: First restaurants announced
September 2014: Plans tweaked to accommodate space needs of retail tenants
November 2014: City funding agreement approved to commit $18 million toward $93 million development
April 1, 2015: Demolition begins
April 16, 2015: Groundbreaking ceremony kicks off construction

September 2015: "Dick Tracy" sculpture temporarily removed from Riverwalk to accommodate construction
February 2016: Giant yellow construction crane removed from site

Oct. 24, 2016: Southern Tide becomes first store to open
Nov. 4, 2016: Final construction crane departs
Nov. 18, 2016: Hotel Indigo scheduled to host first guests
