Business Ledger to host Influential Women in Business event

Eighteen suburban women executives will be honored in the 19th Annual Influential Women in Business awards and recognition event hosted by the Daily Herald Business Ledger and its sponsoring partners.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Naperville campus of Northern Illinois University, 1120 E. Diehl Road.

Mary Lynn Fayoumi, president & CEO of the Management Association, will be the keynote speaker. She is a speaker, trainer and adviser and is an authority on a variety of organizational issues, including workplace culture, employment trends, people management and leadership.

The awards are presented to women executives who excel in business, civic and personal arenas. The honorees' business must be located or have a major presence in the Business Ledger's primary editorial coverage area of suburban Chicago.

The awards are presented in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners - Chicago Area Chapter.

This year's awards are sponsored by Northern Illinois University College of Business; B. Gunther & Co.; the Management Association and Focus Capital Advisors.

Honorees will be profiled in a special issue of the Dec. 12 Business Ledger.
