Lake Zurich day camp accredited
A summer day camp program operated by the Lake Zurich Park and Recreation Department has received a national organization's seal of approval. The American Camp Association this month accredited the village's summer day camp after finding it achieved the highest standards, specifically in regard to the health and safety of participants. The organization has accredited about 2,400 camp facilities that met roughly 300 health, quality and safety standards. "Accreditation is a big deal for our Lake Zurich community," said Parks and Recreation Manager Bonnie Caputo. "Our staff work tirelessly to improve camp offerings each year."
