Arlington Heights dad surprises son with World Series road trip

An Arlington Heights 8-year-old climbed in his dad's car thinking they were making a quick stop before heading to school Tuesday. Miles from home, however, he got a big surprise: They were on the road to Cleveland to see Game 1 of the World Series.

Owen Spokas, who has been to nine opening days, was in the backseat when he got the exciting news.

"About halfway into Indiana, I threw back his ticket," dad Eric Spokas said.

Both father and son were ready - decked out in Cubs jerseys.
