Antioch man seriously injured in Wadsworth crash

An Antioch man was seriously injured early Sunday after his pickup truck crashed into a tree in Wadsworth, officials said.

A preliminary investigation shows the 27-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 north on Dilleys Road about 3:30 a.m. when he lost control "for an unknown reason," according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's office. The Ford hit a large tree just north of West Anna Road and came to a stop on its roof, sheriff's police said.

The driver was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries, officials said. Investigators are trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Dilleys Road was closed for two hours after the crash, which is being investigated by the sheriff's office's Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
