Let voters decide

Given the fact the presidential candidates from the major parties are two of the most disliked and untrusted individuals in our lifetime, why do you feel compelled to endorse either of them, or one of the third-party candidates?

One major candidate makes outrageous statements as the consummate "outsider", relying on applying his business acumen in making deals to solve all economic and trade issues, expects a foreign country to pay for a border wall, and is lured into debate "traps" laid by his major opponent.

The other major candidate has "carelessly" handled classified materials, answers "What does it matter?" about four dead Americans, and cannot see the conflict of interest involved when charity donors have something to gain from State Department decisions.

The third-party candidates include one for whom green energy appears to be a major party platform, and another who could not pass a seventh-grade social studies test.

Based on the candidates themselves, my determining factor is this: Which candidate in office for the next four years will be involved in the confirmation of three or four Supreme Court justices, whose influence will be felt for the next 30 years?

My recommendation: Decline to endorse any of the four candidates, and let the voters decide for themselves.
