Nation offers best reasons for Hillary

I think the best reasons for HRC's endorsement have been expressed in The Nation. Although I am not a regular reader of The Nation (this news organization supported Bernie Sanders), I read it because I was curious as to why they would endorse Hillary, after being so opposed to her in the primaries.

They lay out the strengths she has demonstrated, and her weaknesses. They eloquently state the misgivings that many people have with Trump, and also Johnson and Stein (though not many commenters to the editorial endorsement, who still hate HRC). Trump's statements, missteps and past business dealings have said much about his character, and that leads me to believe he is unfit for the office.

Clinton has demonstrated her commitment to this country by continuing to do the work in many different capacities, in the face of impediments thrown up by her detractors for less than admirable reasons. She also has a deeper knowledge of, and commitment to the US's national security, important at a time when threats are suggested by Russia, and unstable regimes in the Middle East.
