Krisnhnamoorthi is best for women's rights

I am proud to support the candidacy of Raja Krishnamoorthi for Congress because he supports a woman's right to choose.

The current Republican-led Congress has led numerous efforts to curtail women's' access to reproductive health care, including access to contraceptive coverage, breast health including early screenings, cervical cancer screenings, and also abortion.

This Congress has tried to defund Planned Parenthood more times than I wish to count, and it has made the appointment of an eminently qualified and truly moderate Supreme Court nominee, Judge Merrick Garland, into a political issue.

No, thank you. I am a grown woman and capable of making health care decisions for myself and with the counsel of my doctor. I look forward to the day when both political parties respect my right to autonomy over my own body and that time is now.

On Nov. 8, I will be voting for Raja, and I hope smart women across the 8th District will too.
