DiCianni to speak at GOP event in Schaumburg

Pete DiCianni of Elmhurst, the Republican candidate for Illinois' 8th Congressional District, will be the guest speaker at the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization's monthly breakfast meeting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Chandler's Chophouse, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

DiCianni is running against Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi.

The topic of the meeting is "Thanking Our Veterans" and Grammy-nominated producer and singer John Hill will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner."

To help defray the cost of the hot buffet breakfast, a $13 contribution is sought from members and an $18 contribution from nonmembers. This month, as part of the thank you, veterans will eat free.
