Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 1.60 cents higher at $4.2160 a bushel; December corn was 3 cents higher at $3.5460 bushel; December oats was 4 cents higher at $2.0360 a bushel while November soybeans gained 13 cents to $9.8460 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was .87 cent lower at $.9648 a pound; October feeder cattle was .90 cent lower at $1.2093 pound; October lean hogs lost .03 cent to $.4195 a pound.
