Jail detainees charged with aggravated battery of peace officer

Two detainees involved in separate incidents have been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, Cook County Sheriff's Police said Friday. Latayuss Curry, 22, is charged with throwing a milk carton containing excrement and urine onto two officers who were handing him his meal on June 20. In a different incident on June 29, police say two correctional deputies were escorting Mark Hall, 20, to the dispensary when he dropped his full body weight onto them, kicked one in the leg and threatened to kill him. Hall has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer on 12 separate occasions since he came into Cook County custody in July 2014, police said.
