Pastor to paint murals at church services Sunday

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, in Arlington Heights, is hosting a "Drawn to the Word" worship and artistic experience at the 9 and 10:55 a.m. worship services on Sunday, Oct. 23, where artist and pastor Paul Oman will paint a larger-than-life sized mural of the Biblical story, "Road to Emmaus."

This story will unfold artistically, musically, narratively and scripturally during the event. All are welcome. For information, visit www.paulomanfineart.com or www.oursaviours.org.

Oman, who lives near Amery, Wisconsin, shares his "Drawn to the Word" artistic ministry with audiences ecumenically across the country. He seeks to give new vision to God's Word by using the process of painting to captivate audiences in a visually oriented culture. Painting and drawing have been a part of his life since childhood. Receiving national and international recognition in 2010, 2013 and 2015, for his work in watercolor, Oman uses this gift to proclaim the Gospel in a unique and powerful way. The murals are painted with acrylics.
