Library branch will fail, resident fears

I feel opening a north side branch of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library would be a waste of resources, time and money. How could it ever reach critical mass to make it worth while for our community?

If the main concern is to make a library visit more convenient for north side residents I can't envision it being a success. My family lives on the north side and doubt that we would ever use a reduced version of the main library, a mere few miles away.

It would be significantly less expensive to provide free taxi service for those who find it difficult to get to the main library. We hope the library board employs some fiscal common sense here before they commit to long term expense like this.
