Will we ever learn?

Your issue of Sept. 12 reports that former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, speaking for Donald Trump, says we should steal all the oil in Iraq. He says that in war, there are no laws and we can rob and steal as we please. Shades of Adolf Hitler!

This pretty well proves that the invasion of Iraq was really just a heist.

Have we really learned nothing from 9/11? Can we not see the direct and obvious connection between our trashing foreign countries and stealing their resources and the resulting waves of terrorism?

Our imperialism is out of control, and we thrash about like King Kong, spreading chaos everywhere. If we keep it up, we can expect nothing but more and more war, terror, impoverishment and ruin. And we will deserve it.
