Indians' Kluber leaves vs Detroit with right groin tightness

DETROIT (AP) - Cleveland ace Corey Kluber has left a game Monday night at Detroit after only four innings because of right groin tightness.

Kluber threw only 60 pitches. Cleveland led 4-2 and can clinch the AL Central title with a victory.

The Indians are already dealing with injuries to starters Carlos Carrasco and Danny Salazar, and a serious injury to Kluber would further hamper the team's chances at an extended postseason run.

Kluber allowed two runs and five hits. He gave up a two-run homer to J.D. Martinez in the second but got out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the fourth. The Indians took the lead with two runs in the top of the fifth, then reliever Dan Otero came to the mound for Cleveland.
