Rosemont keeping red-light cameras another three years

Rosemont has extended a contract to keep its red-light cameras for another three years.

The agreement with Lombard-based RedSpeed Illinois LLC now expires in August 2019. An initial six-year contract went into effect in August 2007, and contained the option for two additional three-year extensions at the village's choosing, officials said.

There are two cameras currently operable in Rosemont - northbound River Road at Higgins Road, and eastbound Higgins at River.
