Pitch in to help restore habitat at Bliss Woods

A habitat restoration work day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 24, at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve, off Bliss Road, just east of Route 47 in Sugar Grove. Meet in the inner parking lot.

Volunteers are needed to help collect and distribute seeds and possibly remove invasive species.

Interested people should wear sturdy shoes/boots, long pants and sleeves and work gloves. Mosquito repellent may be needed. All people are welcome, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be provided.
