Taxpayers can't afford school bond issue

I am against the CCSD15 bond proposal for $130 million. All this is going to do is to raise our taxes.

Building two new schools is a waste of taxpayers' money. Switching to middle school sixth through eighth grade will cause more of a busing issue. The location where they are planning to put the new middle school will ultimately cause more students to get bused.

The board said they will not need more staff, but if you increase the size of the school and full-time kindergarten classes, I can't see how that will happen.

Opening another middle school will require a staff to teach them. Middle school is much harder than teaching elementary schools.

Vote no to raising our taxes for the next 20 years. The price they quoted for a homeowner at $230,000 was $224 a year. Looking at the numbers it was appraised for 2015, we just received our new appraisal which was 15 percent higher, meaning much higher taxes.

We are struggling to pay our high property tax bills. We do not need more taxes that will not benefit our kids.
