Avoid interest conflicts

Your article on a judge not commenting on a change in the Gliniewicz case fails to emphasize an important point; i.e., that it's a good thing when public officials acknowledge and act on a conflict of interest. Our local governments would work a lot better if there was a broad-based understanding and adherence to avoiding the principles of conflict of interest so anything you could do to promote the value of that practice would be greatly appreciated.
