Boys golf: Brunk's 36 paces Grayslake Central

Cooper Brunk fired a 36 to earn medalist honors and lead Grayslake Central's boys golf team to a 157-163 win over Grayslake North in Northern Lake County Conference action at Renwood Golf Course in Round Lake Beach on Wednesday.

Alec Novak added a 39 for the Rams (6-0), who also counted matching 41s from Tyler Hanson and Zach Wichlin.

Grayslake North (2-3) received a 39 from Adam Baker and 40 from Alex Wrobel.

Vernon Hills d. Maine West: At Chick Evans Golf Course, Justin Park shot a 1-under-par 35, as the Cougars (148) won the Central Suburban League match.

Brian Favia and Sujay Voleti each had a 37 for Vernon Hills, and Joey Levitan added a 39.

Maine West shot a 173.

Mundelein d. Waukegan: At Bonnie Brook Golf Course, Tyler White's even-par 36 led the visiting Mustangs (148) past the Bulldogs (206) in the North Suburban Conference match.

Ryan Magee and Brett Parola each shot a 37 for Mundelein, and Zach Zentz had a 38.

Stevenson d. Zion-Benton: At The Arboretum Club on Tuesday, the Patriots carded a 158 to defeat Zion-Benton (199) in North Suburban Conference action.

Stevenson's Kevin Chin was the medalist with a 38.
