Dist. 62 to hold public reception for new superintendent

The Des Plaines Elementary District 62 school board will host a public reception for new Superintendent Floyd E. Williams Jr. before the next school board meeting Monday, Sept. 19.

The board invites staff, parents, students and stakeholders to the reception, scheduled from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the Early Learning Center, 1375 S. Fifth Ave.

 

"We are excited to formally welcome Dr. Williams to the district," board President Stephanie Duckmann said in a news release. "We invite the staff and residents of District 62 to meet Dr. Williams, introduce themselves and learn about our new leader. He's eager to meet the stakeholders that support this community so we can work together as educational partners to advance District 62."
