No balloons but plenty of fun at Color Aloft Festival in Grayslake

Although weather kept hot air balloons out of the sky over Grayslake Saturday, there was still plenty to do at the Color Aloft Balloon Festival.

The event also featured a Civil War-era baseball game at the north end of the park. The Grayslake Athletics played the McHenry County Independents using the wildly different rules of 19th-Century baseball.

Musical entertainment, children's activities, storytelling and business booths also were part of the festival, and visitors were invited to bring a picnic to the park.
