Police seeking suspect in Hoffman Estates bank robbery

Hoffman Estates police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Chase bank on the 2500 block of west Golf Road Saturday afternoon.

Police were called about 1:19 p.m. to the bank. During the robbery, the suspect approached the teller and showed the handle of a handgun from his waistband, police said.

The teller complied with his demands, and the suspect, described as a black man, fled from the bank with an undetermined amount of money, police said. No one was injured.

Hoffman Estates detectives and the FBI are investigating. Anyone with information about the robbery should contact police at (847) 781-2800.
