Local brewery will provide beer for Buffalo Grove Days

Buffalo Grove Days is showing a little hometown favoritism in its selection of what brew to feature at the five-day festival.

The Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce has selected Prairie Krafts Brewery, the town's only microbrewery, as the exclusive beer provider.

"Promoting local businesses is the mission of the chamber, and this partnership with Prairie Krafts helps us fulfill that mission," chamber President Gregg Stern said in a news release.

The chamber plans to offer a wide variety of beers from Prairie Krafts, which has a taproom at 1310 Busch Parkway, including lagers, Weiss beers, light beers, IPAs and seasonal shandies. The festival also will feature Moscow Mules, a drink made of vodka, lime and ginger beer brewed by Prairie Krafts. And there will be beer tastings with brew masters explaining the different beer styles.

"Buffalo Grove Days will give them a chance to introduce village residents to their excellent products," chamber Executive Director Roger Sosa said.
