Public meeting on Patriot Path bike trail

The Lake County Division of Transportation is hosting a second open house public information meeting regarding the Patriot Path, an east/west bike path along the Route 137 corridor from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.

The project is planned between the Des Plaines River (Independence Grove Forest Preserve) and Sheridan Road and connects four municipalities; Libertyville, Green Oaks, Waukegan, and North Chicago.

Alternatives developed using stakeholder input from the first session will be presented. Participants can learn how each alternative was evaluated and examine exhibits, maps and the project schedule. Visitor can stop anytime.
