Kirk not best option for veterans

Dear Soon-to-be Non-Senator Kirk: You still don't get it. You are not the best fit to represent us Illinois veterans while you're aligned with the 1 percent-favoring GOP. Switch to the Democrats and we might elect you to a state office.

You're not qualified to be at the Senate level anymore. Better you go back to private practice. Your "late-comer" co-sponsorship attempts at pulling at our heart strings with veteran benefits are too late to negate your lack of "rest-of-world" knowledge required of a senator.

You still have not responded to many requests for a reasonable explanation as to why you chose to usurp the foreign policy power of the executive branch by sending a letter directly to Iran regarding the nuclear proliferation constraints.

How dare you? Your recent attempts to distance yourself from Trump are also weak.
