A retired Cook County judge and delegate for Donald Trump, Anthony Iosco got a turn addressing the Illinois delegation to the Republican National Convention on its last day.

Speaking at delegate breakfasts most of the week have been high-profile Illinois Republicans like members of Congress.

Iosco, though, said his main message was to emphasize the next president could get to appoint multiple Supreme Court justices.

He said Trump would pick judges that will "follow and respect our Constitution in the tradition of the late Antonin Scalia."

Iosco, of Elk Grove Village, was elected as a Trump delegate in the March primary.

He and his fellow delegates will start heading home Friday after Thursday night's big speech from Trump.

Their role now, he says, is to help get Republicans elected in November.

"I just think this will be a great kickoff to Mr. Trump's campaign," he said.
