Dundee Lions donate to food pantry, local school PTC

The Dundee Township Lions Club recently donated money to the Dundee Highlands Elementary School Parent-Teacher Council and the FISH Food Pantry.

Both organizations assisted the Lions in fundraisers for their respective groups. At a recent club meeting, Dick Willrett from FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville noted they can especially use donations during the summer to help low-income families until the school food drives start up again in the fall.

Denise Nichols representing Dundee Highlands in West Dundee noted their organization is increasingly asked for funds to help families participate in school events that they could not otherwise afford.

The Dundee Lions meet at the Village Squire, 125 Washington St. in West Dundee. Find more about "Dundee Township Lions Club" on Facebook or come to a meeting. Call Jim McClung, club president, at (847) 567-7127 to find out times and make a reservation.
