New route, same fun at Mundelein parade

The reconstruction of Hawley Street through downtown Mundelein necessitated a new route for the town's annual Community Days parade, but the change didn't take away from the fun of the event.

People gathered along the new route Sunday to catch glimpses of politicians, community groups and other participants.

The parade is one of the highlights of the annual Community Days festival, which wraps up Monday.
