Police: Molester taped assaults of Villa Park teen to keep her quiet

A 39-year-old Melrose Park-area man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Villa Park girl, the Cook County sheriff's police said in a news release Wednesday evening.
Police said they received a report early Monday morning that the girl had been assaulted multiple times over the past three years at Rodolfo Salazar's residence on the 10300 block of West Medill Avenue.
According police, Salazar recorded the assaults and threatened to release the recordings if the victim told anyone.
Salazar was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault and child pornography on Tuesday. A judge in Rolling Meadows set his bail at $250,000 Wednesday.
