Naperville condo complex sold for $34 million

A local private investor bought 313 of the 356 total units at Huntington Condominiums in Naperville for about $34 million, according to an Oak Brook-based commercial real estate firm.

Inland Real Estate Brokerage & Consulting Inc., said it closed on the sale on June 14, but just announced the deal this week. Inland declined to provide the name of the buyer.

While 313 of the 356 units were sold, the remaining 43 units were previously sold as condos, said Paul Montes, vice president of Inland Real Estate Brokerage & Consulting.

"This off-market transaction moved very quickly, as we had a motivated buyer who expressed great interest in the property when it was presented," Montes said.

The property is at 20 S. Naper Boulevard and includes 16 buildings on a 21-acre site. The property was built in 1973 and includes a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 725 square feet to 1,100 square feet.

The property has high occupancy and features a clubhouse, two swimming pools, a pool house, tennis courts, playground and landscaped grounds with lagoons.

Huntington Venture Corp. had purchased the property in 2006. Huntington Venture Corp. is a subsidiary of Inland National Development Corp., part of the Inland Real Estate Group of Companies Inc.
