Time to fix mess Democrats created

In response to Jack Franks view on June 9, I offer the following: The majority of voters elected Gov. Rauner because they were sick and tired of the way that Madigan and Democrats like yourself have run state government.

We elected Gov. Rauner to turn things around just like he promised to do. Unions have no business in the public sector, period. Public sector unions are the main cause of Illinois property taxes being among the highest in the nation.

You and your ilk, Mr. Franks, have created more layers of government in Illinois than any other state to serve your cronies and build your base of support. If you get enough people to depend on their job from you they will always vote for the same failed leadership that the Democrats have so aptly displayed in this state.

Now it is time for you to work toward the common goal and make Illinois more business friendly. Tort reform and curbs on public sector unions are a great place to begin. Democrats have driven this state into a huge hole. Move aside now and let us fix it with the good governor's true leadership. That's why we elected him.
