Prisco hosts communitywide garage sale

Shoppers are invited to take advantage of great deals and savings at the Fox Valley Park District's communitywide garage sale.

As many as 20 sellers are expected, assuring a large selection of sale items and deals from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Prisco Community Center parking lot, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora. Admission for buyers is free.

"We're holding dozens of garage sales all in one central area, so it's a great opportunity for bargain hunters and sellers alike," supervisor Carrie Johnson said. "Shoppers will find great deals on all types of items without having to waste time and gas driving all over town."

All proceeds from rental space will serve to benefit the Creative Play preschool program. The seller fee is $30 for residents and $45 for others. Sellers will be allotted two 9-by-18-foot parking spaces and one 8-foot table, and will take home all sales profits. Interested sellers must reserve a space by Tuesday, June 21.

In the event of inclement weather, the community garage sale will be held inside the Prisco Center.
