App reviews: Sprightly, Today

Sprightly

Microsoft's Sprightly is a simple app for those who want to make something more than a cut-and-paste job for fliers and cards. The app gives you a handful of templates from which to choose, and lets you customize them with your own photos and information. Although it doesn't offer a lot of room for creativity, it does create fairly good-looking products with little work. It also makes them easy to send to friends, share on social networks or even print, if you're feeling old-school.

This app is definitely best for those with small businesses or side businesses who don't have a lot to invest in marketing materials. There aren't many template options - a handful in five categories - but it still covers its bases. If a flier or two is all you need, it fits those needs perfectly and for free. If you want something with a lot of customization options for layout and color, than you're better off with a more sophisticated tool. But if you just want to advertise some yard-sale items or send a simple e-card, this is an easy and free way to give your products a little more polish.

Free, for Android and iOS.
