SCA creates Physician Advisory Board

DEERFIELD - Surgical Care Affiliates announced its first Physician Advisory Board, created to further SCA's mission to care for patients, serve physicians and improve health care in America by providing strategic guidance and industry expertise to the SCA community.

As leaders in the health care industry, board members bring deep clinical experience and insight into meaningful trends in surgery, practice management and primary care groups. In addition, the board will provide feedback and direction on SCA's innovation and growth initiatives.

"This group of physician leaders will help guide our strategy and engagement with our physician partners, and we are grateful for their service to the SCA community," said Andrew Hayek, SCA chairman and CEO. "I am confident that our advisory board will strengthen our purpose-driven, values-based culture and help us continue to fulfill our vision to be the partner of choice for surgical care."

The inaugural board includes Bart Asner, M.D. CEO and founder, Monarch HealthCare; Robert S. Bray, M.D., founder, DISC Sports and Spine Center; Norman H. Chenven, M.D., CEO and founder, Austin Regional Clinic; Thomas M. Deas, Jr., M.D. vice president, physician development, North Texas Specialty Physicians; Stefan W. Kreuzer, M.D. minimally-invasive hip and knee replacement pioneer; and Daniel Murrey, M.D., CEO, OrthoCarolina and Transformant Healthcare Solutions

From SCA, Andrew Hayek, chairman and CEO, Goran Dragolovic, senior vice president and Dr. James Grant, regional vice president, will serve the board as company representatives.
