Glen Ellyn cops hunt for man who exposed himself

Glen Ellyn police are searching for a man who exposed himself Sunday evening to a woman jogging along the Illinois Prairie Path near Walnut Glen Park.

Police said the man's description is similar to one they were given in a similar case June 9 near a fitness store in the village's downtown.

In the latest case, police said the 22-year-old jogger was running about 7:45 p.m. when she saw a man standing along the path with his shorts down. As she passed, she said the man turned and walked toward her, exposing himself.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s who stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall with an athletic build and short black hair. He was wearing black basketball shorts with red trim and a gray hooded sweatshirt. He fled south from the scene.

Police said they conducted extensive searches along the Prairie Path on Sunday and in downtown on June 9 but could not find the man.

Anyone with information regarding either case is asked to call police at (630) 469-1187.
