Former wrestling coach pleads guilty to videotaping boys

ELKHART, Ind. (AP) - A former northern Indiana teacher and wrestling coach has pleaded guilty to charges alleging he videotaped naked boys in a locker room.

James Iannarelli of Elkhart pleaded guilty to three counts of vicarious sexual gratification and four counts of child exploitation Thursday in Elkhart Superior Court.

The 35-year-old Iannarelli was a middle school teacher and a wrestling coach at Elkhart Memorial High School when he was arrested in December 2014 after one of his wrestlers found on his iPad videos of boys showering.

WSBT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1VjHSix ) Iannarelli's attorney asked that sentencing be delayed because the defense intends to seek a psychological evaluation. The sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 18.
