Aurora Boy Scouts plan anniversary celebration

Blackhawk Boy Scout Troop 11, sponsored by Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora, will hold a 100th anniversary celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora

The public is invited. An open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., with the Court of Honor awards ceremony at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Blackhawk Troop 11 is the second oldest in Illinois. Since its inception, 181 members have earned the Eagle Scout award, the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America.
