Police seek help finding Sugar Grove woman with Alzheimer's

Officials are asking for help locating a missing woman with Alzheimer's disease.

Margaret “Peggy” Banks, was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when she left her home in the Sugar Grove area, according to a news release from the Kane County sheriff's office.

Banks was driving a 2007 Green Toyota Avalon with Illinois registration 1356224, police said. She is nonverbal but is wearing a medical ID bracelet.

Banks used to live in the Batavia area and is familiar with the Tri-Cities, police said, but her direction of travel was unknown.

Anyone who has contact with Banks or her vehicle is asked to call 911.
