Hoffman Chamber to host 20th fishing derby June 4
The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry will hold its 20th annual Community Fishing Derby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at South Ridge Lake, 1450 Freeman Road in Hoffman Estates.
The lake will be stocked with 100 tagged fish worth $10 to $100. The tagged fish are sponsored by local businesses to promote a fun-filled family day outdoors.
This is a catch-and-release event and barbless hooks are highly recommended. The first 150 children registered will receive a free fishing-themed T-shirt. The Boy Scouts will be selling bait or you can bring your own.
